Sorry About The Delay

June 22nd, 2013

Hey, gang.  Quick note to let you know I haven't forgotten about you.  Last weekend, while working on the 48 Hour Film Project, I suffered a bout of heat exhaustion.  I've been laid up for the past week and haven't been able to get you your regular allotment of goodies.  To make up for that, I have put together and extra helping of Achieving Reality for you, our longest episode yet.  We'll get back on track next week with our regular features.  Promise.  Enjoy!

Where’s My Stuff?!?

June 18th, 2013

HOLY MISSING PIECES TINA!  WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR STUFF?  Well just so you know we have put our uploading on hiatus for a week or so because of 48 Hour Film Project.  We spent last weekend working ourselves sick to make a movie that will win us a Golden Globe....  OK maybe not but it's one we're proud of and we enjoy hanging out with friends and filming shorts every so often.  We will be back on schedule soon and there will be more Larry Rants, Vocabu-Larry, & other stuff to make you laugh and cringe, but for now I leave you with this,  BOOGERS!  heheheheheh

An Internet Presence

June 2nd, 2013

We have, at last, put up our Facebook page.  I know many of you have been wanting a one stop information center for all of our updates.  Well, the page you're on is that, but this new page will have more different stuff on it.  It's a changing world and, to exert one's individuality, one must use the accepted media with which one is provided.  And, although it's not exactly new or unique, we'll give it a shot and post photos, comments and all the usual nonsense.  And you will have a place to comment on the Episodes and Extras, ask listener questions that we'll answer on the podcast, send us random crap and all the other social interactions that Facebook provides.  So, Visit Us, Like Us, Share Us at  Also, you can follow me on Twitter.  I've provided links to both on the sidebar.

More About That Polaris

May 21st, 2013

I've gotten some comments about the Polaris Sub mentioned in Episode 001 - The Unaired Pilot.  People are curious to know what it looked like.  I have found the page again.  It is a blog called Secret Fun Blog.  Click the link and take a look.  Then, snoop around for more lost treasures from yesterday.  The gentleman who runs the blog has a book out called Mail Order Mysteries.  Looks like a fun read.  I might get it for Tina for her birthday.

Not A Bad Weekend

May 19th, 2013

So, today's weather excluded, this has turned out to be a pretty good weekend for me.  I got to check out the new Star Trek movie in IMAX 3D.  I won't say anything much about it except to say I enjoyed it very much.  It is a movie that gives nods to the Trek fans, many of which would be lost on the non-Trek people.  But, it seems, everyone I overheard talking about it at the theater had nothing negative to say.

Saturday saw the unveiling of the much anticipated Doctor Who Series 7 finale, The Name Of The Doctor.  It was quite interesting.  There were good ideas presented.  The acting and writing were up to their usual excellent standards.  However, I felt the bits regarding the Doctor's previous incarnations were poorly executed.  This probably had more to do with budget constraints than anything else.  I'll give high marks for the idea of what they were doing even if the effects left me underwhelmed.

I also attended my partner Larry's Birthday Blowout.  There were lots of familiar faces, many of whom you will meet on upcoming episodes.  Horrible amounts of beer (and beer-flavored popcorn) was consumed.  I believe I even caught a glimpse of Harvey with a bottle.

Then, of course, there was the launch of our website and the official premiere of our first episode, The Unaired Pilot.  We appreciate the positive feedback and greatly appreciate those of you who kept their negative feedback to themselves.

A new episode will be going up Saturday.  I hope you'll tune in for that one as well.

- Chris

Welcome To Achieving Reality: The Podcast

May 18th, 2013

Larry and I have been working hard to produce this little show and we hope you enjoy it!  Many hours have been spent recording and editing in order to bring you the most effortless sounding and fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants discourse possible.  Hopefully, you'll enjoy spending time with us and our guests.  We're very excited to be able to share our particular brand of nonsense with you.  Our producer, Tina Goodwin, has supplied us with many shiny gadgets to help bring you the best quality podcast available.  Hopefully, one day, we'll take them out of the box and figure out how to use them.  Until then, our sound engineer, Harvey, will endeavor to muddle through with the bits and pieces he's cobbled together on his meager salary.  Enjoy!
