So, today's weather excluded, this has turned out to be a pretty good weekend for me. I got to check out the new Star Trek movie in IMAX 3D. I won't say anything much about it except to say I enjoyed it very much. It is a movie that gives nods to the Trek fans, many of which would be lost on the non-Trek people. But, it seems, everyone I overheard talking about it at the theater had nothing negative to say. Saturday saw the unveiling of the much anticipated Doctor Who Series 7 finale, The Name Of The Doctor. It was quite interesting. There were good ideas presented. The acting and writing were up to their usual excellent standards. However, I felt the bits regarding the Doctor's previous incarnations were poorly executed. This probably had more to do with budget constraints than anything else. I'll give high marks for the idea of what they were doing even if the effects left me underwhelmed. I also attended my partner Larry's Birthday Blowout. There were lots of familiar faces, many of whom you will meet on upcoming episodes. Horrible amounts of beer (and beer-flavored popcorn) was consumed. I believe I even caught a glimpse of Harvey with a bottle. Then, of course, there was the launch of our website and the official premiere of our first episode, The Unaired Pilot. We appreciate the positive feedback and greatly appreciate those of you who kept their negative feedback to themselves. A new episode will be going up Saturday. I hope you'll tune in for that one as well. - Chris
